Ngungee provides registered disability support services delivered from within the Yarrabah community, by people who know Country, know culture, and know you.
Ngungee was founded in Yarrabah to serve the communities of North Queensland, from Rockhampton north. We specialise in NDIS disability support services and in the capacity building and upskilling of NDIS-certified workers across the region — growing a skilled, culturally safe workforce that can support people close to home.
We are a community-led organisation. Our participants are our neighbours, our family. That connection shapes every support we deliver.
Our workers understand community, culture, and Country. Supports are delivered with respect for what matters most to each individual and their family.
We invest in building local capacity — training and upskilling NDIS-certified workers so communities across North Queensland can access quality support close to home.
Ngungee is a registered NDIS provider operating under the full requirements of the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Framework.
Us. We. Ours. A word that holds the whole community together in a single breath.
Who was there? Ngungee. Who does this belong to? Ngungee. It belongs to us — it's ours.
One, two, Ngungee — three. The third. The collective. The group that stands together.
Based in Yarrabah, we serve communities across North Queensland — from Rockhampton north to the Cape and the Torres Strait.
All supports are funded through your NDIS plan. We work with self-managed, plan-managed, and NDIA-managed participants.
Support with daily personal care: morning routines, showering, dressing, grooming, and medication assistance in the comfort of your home.
Help keeping your home clean, safe, and running: cleaning, laundry, meal preparation, and general household support.
Support to get out into the community: appointments, shopping, cultural events, visiting family, and accessing local services.
Building independence through skills: cooking, money management, communication, and the everyday capabilities that matter to you.
Programs delivered in a group setting: community activities, cultural programs, creative projects, and social connection.
Creative and tailored programs designed to connect participants with their community in meaningful ways.
Support with daily tasks in a shared or group living arrangement, assisting with the routines that keep life running smoothly.
Support during significant life changes: leaving school, moving, starting work, or navigating major transitions with confidence.
Support to find, start, and maintain employment: job readiness, workplace assistance, and employer engagement.
We train and upskill NDIS-certified workers across North Queensland, building local workforce capacity so communities have access to quality, culturally safe support close to home.
Whether you're a new participant, a family member, or a professional making a referral. Here's how it works.
Contact us by phone, email, or via the form below. Tell us about the person who needs support and what they're looking for.
We'll come to you, at home or a place that's comfortable. We take time to understand the person's goals, needs, and how they like to receive support.
We build a support plan together, matching the right worker and the right supports to what matters most to the participant and their family.
Supports start on an agreed schedule. We check in regularly to make sure everything is working well and adjust as needed.
If you or a family member has an NDIS plan and is looking for a local, community-based provider. We'd like to hear from you.
We welcome referrals from support coordinators, LACs, plan managers, health services, and community organisations.
Reach out by phone, email, or the form. We aim to respond to every enquiry within one business day.
